Adam Smith Lives!
From AcademicBlogs
A blog with semi regular entries (hey, most of the people are dead, no need to be so terribly quick to write them up) about classical economics, the transition to the 20th century, equality, freedom, markets, Adam Smith, John Stuart Mill, F. A. Hayek, and various sundry and related big ideas. Written by a Canadian, currently President of the History of Economics Society, who started the Young Scholars Program for the HES. She directs the Director of the Summer Institute for the History of Economic Thought at George Mason University's Public Choice Center. She's long thought that those of us in the HET need to take some responsibility for the lack of interest in our field: we've not done the best job of finding and writing about interesting problems. So, this is a problem oriented HET blog. It's also often illustrated using Punch and other cartoons which were used to take positions in some of the key debates of the 19th and 20th centuries.
